Jen Hawkins – IFPA BA Hons
Jen is the owner at Revive. Jen offers Aroma-Therapeutic Massage and is available at Revive by appointment Mondays through to Saturdays.
My love of Aromatherapy started as a child making rose petal perfume and mashing rowanberries into pastes. As a teenager I used essential oils to help me revise for exams. As an adult an Aromatherapy massage helped me through a stressful yet crucial OFSTED inspection.
This Aromatherapy massage was pivotal in my life. I left teaching and trained in London to become an Aromatherapist at ITHMA with Gabriel Mojay the author of Aromatherapy for Healing the Spirit. My training was comprehensive and included Anatomy and Physiology, Massage, Essential Oil Chemistry, Aromatherapy and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
I have now been a practising Aromatherapist since 2006, a professional rose petal blender! I am passionate about the therapeutic benefits of Aromatherapy and would love to share my passion and knowledge with you.
I specialise in Aroma-therapeutic massage. All clients benefit from an initial consultation where I get to know your needs and requirements. I use a traditional Chinese five element approach to then decide which oils to blend for your treatment. This approach treats the mind, body and spirit as a whole and works to restore harmony and balance to our lives.
All oils are organic and therapeutic in nature, not just pleasant fragrances. These oils are absorbed in to our bloodstream and have varying effects from relieving stress, to improving circulation and eliminating toxins from the system. Each oil is different and has its own unique properties, I have at least 60 oils that I work with.
Each oil is selected carefully to work for you and is applied in a massage that is tailored to meet your needs making each treatment truly unique.
If massage isn't suitable for you I can prepare a blended product for you to take away and use at home.
I also specialize in Aroma-Care in Pregnancy. Looking after yourself and your baby is crucial at this special time, Aromatherapy can be beneficial to mother and baby in a safe and natural fashion.
I am a fully qualified member of the IFPA a professional body that recognises Aromatherapists who have undertaken training to the highest standards. Members of IFPA adhere to a strict code of ethics to ensure that optimum standards of professional integrity, confidentiality and health care are maintained at all times.
My overall aim is to help people feel more like a human beings and less like a human doings!
